Stylish Joes

1 pound ground beef (or plant based meat or 2 cups chopped mushrooms)

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 cup finely diced peppers (I did orange and red)

3 garlic cloves minced

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

2 teaspoons yellow mustard

1 tablespoon brown sugar

15 ounces tomato sauce

Olive Oil

Salt & Pepper

Brioche Slider Buns

 

Step One:

Brown your meat over medium heat with olive oil; break it up as need to little bits


Step Two: 

Add in your onions, peppers, and garlic and season with salt and pepper; cook about 5 minutes until the meat is cooked and your veggies are softened.


Step Three: 

Add in the sauce ingredients, and once it starts to boil, reduce the heat and cook on a low heat for 10 to 15 minutes; if your mixture gets too thick, you can add in a little beef or veggie stock. Taste again and add in salt and pepper if needed.


Step Four:

Top your toasted buns with your mixture, and enjoy!


Addition: Slaw 

½ cup Red Cabbage, thinly sliced

½ cup Green Cabbage, thinly sliced

¼ cup Grated Carrot

½ Jalapeno, seeded & thinly sliced

½ tablespoon Olive Oil

½ tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar

Salt and Pepper
